All well and good but finding a reputable publisher to willing to take on your catalog is easier said than done.
My Bio
Former President of the storied Rykodisc label and founder of Slow River Records, George Howard is an accomplished musician, producer, executive, and educator. He currently holds posts as Assistant Professor of Management at Loyola University, and editor and frequent contributor to Artists House. He is the author of Getting Signed! An Insider's Guide to the Record Industry, and Publishing 101, both aimed at educating aspiring artists in how to succeed in a music industry game that at times seems rigged against them.

First of I want to thank you for all your informative material that is available for free. I am a rapper/activist and I believe my calling is to inspire change and a message of love. I was born in Frankfurt,Germany but grew up the majority of my life in Long Beach, CA. I do music in German as well as in English. I understand how to do great and creative music but as far how to make a career of what I love at times keeps me puzzled and confused. I don't necessary look to be signed with a record label but to to start from the bottom and work my way up and understand every aspect of the music business. I am currently involved with 1on1 Entertainment Group an independent entertainment company who invested in studio time, the printing of my album and in my music video. They are not looking for me to pay them back as they did it out the kindness of their heart as God led them and they seeking to do bigger and better things. I currently finished my music video and my cd. I don't want to be cut up in the maze of just playing endless shows where 20 artist on the roster playing every night but i want to reach and find my niche market and build a solid and profitable fan base. I would love if you would post up an interview or any educational material regarding the christian industry especially the towards urban music. I would love to meet u in person and do an interview.
